Hard to believe Callyn is already thru her 3rd week of life and will be 4 weeks this Monday. She's growing so chubby and everyday becomes more and more alert. I can't wait to see what she weighs in at on her 1 month doctor's appointment. Cory and I are very lucky b/c she is still such a great sleeper. Our nightly routine goes like this: Awake from 7 - 9:30, sleep from 9:30 - midnight, up quickly for a diaper change and quick feeding, sleep to 3:30, up again for a quick bite to eat, then back to sleep until 8:30. I'm hoping she can continue this schedule b/c I like my sleep.
Here are a few new pictures. The outfit she's in with Cory's holding her is from a collegue in Israel. The other 2 outfits are from my friend Sonja and I just love them.

Bath Time
We gave Callyn her first sponge bath this morning. She didn't cry, but we can't decide if she actually liked it or not. She's pretty modest and hates being naked (changing her diaper almost immediately elicits loud screams). Her cord hasn't fallen out yet, so we had to be careful not to get that wet. Right after we cleaned her all up and wrapped her in a pretty pink towel, she decided to poop all over the towel...yes, she has impeccable timing! Here are some pics of our morning bath (I'm still in my pjs so ignore the pic of me please!) After the bath, I couldn't resist dressing her up with a bow in her hair.

Sleep Time
So far, Callyn has been a great baby...she sleeps alot and even does well at night! We've only had one "bad" night and even that may be considered "good" to some people. She usually sleeps from 10:30 - 1:00, then 1:30 - 6:00, then 6:00 - 9:00...it seems that she sleeps constantly. I keep trying to get some better pictures with her eyes open, but for now, we'll have to settle for the sleepy pics. (NOTE: Sedona seems to find herself in almost every pic!)

Superbowl Sunday
We went over to Nanny & Pop's house for Superbowl. I didn't have any sports outfits for Callyn, so the best I could find was a brown onesie to look a little like a football. I love the picture of Callyn and her expression during the half-time show with the Black Eye'd Peas...Mom & Dad enjoyed the performance, but I think Callyn thought otherwise!

1 Week Old
Hard to believe Callyn is already 1 week old. Everyday we are more and more in love with her. She had her 1 week check-up at the pediatrician today and is almost back to her original birth weight. The doctor says she's in the 43rd percentile for weight, 87% for length, and 66% for head size...so basically, she's tall & skinny (just like her Dad!).

I love my swing
Yesterday, Cory and I were talking about how we needed to buy a swing for Callyn because she loves being rocked. Literally, one hour after we talked about the swing, my doorbell rang and the UPS man showed up with a swing (no joke!). Todd Jones, from my office, was so thoughtful and sent Callyn a baby gift. She absolutely loves it. This morning, she has been swinging away in it for over 2 hours. Thank you so much Todd!
First Car Ride
Nanny got the pleasure of driving Callyn home from the hospital since Cory was still in New Mexico. If anyone knows my mom, she is the most careful and overly cautious driver I know. Even though we were only driving 5 miles, I still made sure to tell her to drive even slower than usual and to take the speed bumps in our neighborhood with extreme care. We made is safely home!
Last night, Cory and I decided to venture out to Target to buy a diaper genie...we buckled Callyn in her car seat and took her for her 2nd official ride. One thing I learned is that you can't buckle a baby into the car seat if she is swaddled...if anyone knows how to do this without unswaddling, let me know. Callyn doesn't realize she's been in the car twice because both times she has been sound asleep.

Big Sister - Sedona
During most of my pregnancy I worried about how Sedona would react to her new sister. I wanted to make sure she didn't feel left out as we welcomed Callyn into the family...needless to say, I think I worried for nothing. When we brought Callyn home, Sedona jumped around and tried to figure out what I had in my arms. She smelled Callyn's blanket and then saw the blanket move...she backed up and started to bark at the moving blanket. After that, she gave the blanket a big lick and then went back to her business of greeting me. So far, Sedona has been very well behaved with the baby and isn't acting too jealous. Nanny & Pop have helped out by taking Sedona for her morning walks, since mom is out of commission for awhile in the walking department. Today, they are taking Sedona for a hike, so she will be nice and tuckered out afterwards. Here are some pictures of Sedona and Callyn...my bed is getting crowded, so Callyn will be moved to her crib pretty soon.

Day 3 Pictures
I decided to put Callyn in a cute pink onesie and try out a bow in her hair. The bow stayed on for a few minutes...just long enough for a picture! Callyn has lots of dark brown hair, so eventually I hope she lets me do cute things to it :)
My Heart Belongs to Daddy!
Callyn has Cory wrapped around her finger! Cory arrived home from China on Friday at 3:30. We spent the weekend doing some last minute "baby prep", which included installing the car seat and buying a recliner/rocker. I was so happy to have Cory back! Monday morning, we both woke up with the surreal feeling we would have a daughter in a few short hours. Cory did a great job at the hospital...he held my hand during the c-section and didn't get queezy at all while in the OR. The minute Callyn came out, he was in love :)
On the first night in the hospital, Callyn bonded with daddy by sleepinng on his chest almost all night. She was so content there we didn't want to move her. Unfortuntely, Dad didn't get much sleep. So, the next night we got smart and had my parents bring over the air mattress. Callyn alternated between sleeping in her bassinet and sleeping on the air mattress with Daddy. Cory had to wake up at 4 AM Wednesday to go to an important business meeting in New Mexico...it was so hard to see him leave her. I hope Intel appreciates all his work!

Hospital Visitors!
Callyn loves all the attention she gets from visitors in the hospital. So far: Nanny & Pop Foley, Grandma Wesolowski, Great-Grandpa Foley, cousin Bridget, aunt Heidi, uncle Clint & aunt Lindsey. Aunt Lindsey worked in labor & delivery the day she was born so she was "officially" the first family member to see Callyn.
Welcome Baby Callyn!
We welcomed our beautiful daughter, Callyn Shea Wesolowski, on Jan 31st! She weighed 7 lbs 12.5 oz, 20.5 inches long. She already has us wrapped around her finger.
